Information about adding cards/boxes
Cards/ Boxes can be added to all of your pages. You will create a Card content page and promote it to the page you want it on.
Steps for creating a card page and promoting it
Sample page: Residents
- Click on Residents
- Add Page
- Click on Cards
- Suggested title for the card page would be Residents - Cards
- Create
- Turn the Page Display on
- Click on Page Settings and change the setting for Display in Menu to hidden
- Save
You can now add Card items
- Click on Add Card item
- Add Title
- Link optional – add URL
- Description
- Add an Image – add URL
- Save
The new card page will then need to be promoted to the Residents page
- Click on the Residents page
- Click on Edit for the Open Content Area
- Click on Promotions on the left side of the screen
- Add Promotion
- Select the Residents- Cards page
- Done
Notes when adding card items
If you add a lot of content in the description for one of the cards all the other cards will grow to be the same size. If you have little content in one of the cards and a lot of content on another card, you will have a lot of white space showing on the card with a little content.
Images should all be the same size before you upload them to each of the items. Suggested size for a images 800 x 500, you won’t display it that big. You can make a large image display smaller, but you can’t make a small image show larger or it will get distorted.
You have the choice of making the Title clickable or the Image clickable. Stay consistent, either have all the titles clickable or all the images clickable
